I spotted this place during a bike ride on a Sunday afternoon, and I was pleasantly surprised. There is an order counter with a nice covered porch that has a seating area. I ordered a stuffed quahog and some clam cakes. They were having a problem with their POS tablet and I didn't have cash. The owner was willing to give me the meal for free, which was CRAZY generous (I woulda stopped by the next time I was in the area anyways) but thankfully they got it working eventually. The stuffie was a solid, whaler style stuffie. No complaints there. The clam cakes were cooked perfectly, hot and crispy, and had a lot of clam pieces in them. They were on the dense side, which I prefer. I'm definitely planning more bike rides out to acushnet so I can eat here again!
Absolutely delicious ice cream, honestly my favorite place to stop for a sweet treat in the whole area. Only warning is that parking is limited and the sizes are a bit deceiving. P.S. The strawberry cheesecake ice cream is to die for!
A lot has changed throughout the years but Country Whip will always be a childhood favorite. Nothing can ever go wrong with a soft serve twist and chocolate jimmies.
Our first time here today and everything was great and affordable! My daughter loved her burger and fries. My husband enjoyed his steak and cheese. I really liked the bacon and tomato grilled cheese. We shared the loaded fries and the cheese and bacon ratio was perfect. Our little man enjoyed his hot dog. The food is good quality and super affordable. We ended our dinner with ice cream. I have to say this might be the best ice cream we have ever tasted! No complaints at all. The staff was so friendly and attentive. I love that it's a family ran restaurant. It was great that they had indoor seating, especially with today being a chilly overcast day. It is a little tight inside but they do have quite a few tables and high chairs and boosters are available which is a huge plus in my book! For my family of four, we all had dinner, a drink and ice cream and it was less than $60! We will definitely be back!

Visited to try the soft serve ice cream, but discovered there was so much more! First off, I had never tried the black raspberry flavored ice cream, and it was just such a revelation for me. Very refreshing flavor, and I had to keep getting it again. While I was only there for the soft serve, we decided to order some of the seafood as well just to try, and they sure hit the spot! Great clam chowder, stuffed Quahog, and clam cakes too!
